Why Blog?

I'm a 22 year college graduate, documenting the things in my life that I want to always remember. The big things, the little things, the crazy things, the everyday things. It gets a bit random at times, and sometimes I like to ponder on the craziness of life. There's nothing earth-shattering here, but I like to think it's all fun to read. Read, leave me comments, ask questions, enjoy.

Painting the Campus Red

Today was the first home Johnnie football game of the season, so there was a vast amount of excitement among the students on campus. My girls and I got up and had breakfast around 10:30, and then came back to get ready for the game, which started at 1:00. I just had to laugh, because you could tell it was a football day. I went to take a shower, and the stalls were all full, and when I finally got out of the shower and semi-dressed, I started making the rounds to the rooms near me, chatting with my friends, and making sure I "looked ok". We borrowed each other clothes, make-up, sunglasses, and opinions, before finally making it out to the bus stop, where we stood for a million years waiting for a bus.

When we got to SJU, all you could see was red. I absolutely love how much school spirit everyone has, and I adore seeing the campus red every Saturday. There are mobs of people; students and alums; walking towards the stadium, and when you get there, it's tough to find a shirt that's not red. I hung out with Molly and a friend of hers named Ashley, and Christian joined us for part of the game. It was boiling hot, and extremely crowded, but totally worth it. We won the game, and my uncle Dan was reffing, so that made it a great afternoon. (I was telling all of my friends that my uncle was reffing, so it's a good thing we won :o) ) I got to catch up with a lot of people that I haven't seen in a while, and pretty much just had an enjoyable few hours. Now, I am procrastinating my homework (because who does homework on such a beautiful Saturday? Or an Saturday for that matter) and later, I'm heading out to Coldspring to hang out with one of my best friends from SCSU, Matt.

I hope you are all enjoying this great weather! hugs.
