Oh the Differences We Have...

So today it is raining out. Lots and lots of rain. I'm actually quite enjoying it, other than the fact that my pants have been wet for the majority of the day.

Anyway, it's been rather fun to look around campus and see all the bright and colorful umbrellas that have made their first appearance of the year today. There are polka dots, plaids, solids, SJU colors, all sorts. The funny thing is that all of their holders seem to have one thing in common: they're women! In two of my Communication classes, we're discussing gender differences, so I've been especially tuned in to the small things that differ between men and women lately. I think it's interesting that the men around campus are much too "manly" to carry umbrellas, whereas many of the women are just excited to show off how cute theirs is. Chalk one more up to the "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" theory.
